Makino School of Continuing & Non-Formal Education

The school facilitates improvement of quality of life for disempowered, disadvantaged people groups through holistic, integrated rural development activities and capacity-building of village communities. A number of appropriate farming systems with organic farming approaches have been introduced to students, NGO's workers, and local farmers. It is emphasized on integration and diversity. Moreover, they embrace organizing farming community, food processing, alternative marketing system, and health and nutrition.

Department of Agricultural and Rural Development

The department focuses on agricultural leadership training program designed to enable young men and women from diverse rural development agencies. They are trained to accomplish the task of training their local communities to manage their farming lands efficiently.

Faculty

It is one of the unique departments of the school emphasizing on the oppressed weaker gender, mainly belonging to rural India.

It concentrate on organizing organic farmers cooperatives in different target areas.The cooperative members are actively involved in producing organic vegetables, food processing, alternative marketing and cooperative management.

The department is actively engaged in plantation, water testing, health, hygeine and sanitation training, mother and child care and installation of hand pumps under clean village initiative project.
